    Splurged on some straps

I've been using the $20 Ernie Ball Jacquard straps for years. They're cheap, they look good, and they hold a guitar, as well as having a large length adjustment - I'm not tremendously tall, but I'm all upper body with short legs, and I need a strap at least 60" long. Preferably about 63". I've...

Who has this kind of money laying around to buy these guitars?

Oof, that's pricey! Personally, I can see going up to *maybe* 5 grand...maybe. My record to date is $2800...although I just calculated for inflation and the $1700 I spent on my first PRS Custom in 1995 is the equivalent of $3499 now. It seems like a lot of Les Paul guys are gigging with the...

OK, so less expensive than another Les Paul . The Studio I bought in April is great - plays great, feels great, looks great...but the stock BB Pros just weren't doing it for me. After playing with the heights, and the settings, and the knobs, I did a quick Reverb search to see what anyone...

I may have a Les Paul buying problem...NGD

I started in February with the TV Yellow Junior...then in March I needed the Standard (Double Trouble!)...then I always feel like I need a backup, and Guitar Center had Cherry Sunburst Studios on sale. How am I supposed to resist that??? The GC Closest to me (Florence KY) had one, and I played...

If you could play through anyone’s guitar rig, whose would it be?

Rich Robinson's rig, Three Snakes era. Dickey Betts Fillmore East era.

Normally, I'm team pickguard on for a Les Paul...however...

I put it back on, then switched from reflectors to speed knobs and added a "Standard" truss rod cover.

The guard went back on this morning, for 2 reasons. First, I do think it looks better with the guard - it adds some visual contrast that I think makes the exposed grain pop more. Second, and more important, I like to anchor my pinky on it, it's a super comfy spot for that.

I decided to see what my new Lester looks like without the pickguard. I'm not sure I can put it back on...usually I think it makes them look naked, but in this case, I'm OK with that!! Before: After:
