Is Hollywood done with superhero flicks?

I damn well hope so. They really made way too many, and the quality dropped. And ending every other sentence with a "hilarious" quip was fun for the first few movies, but they clearly didn't get the memo that it became old real quick.

Yeah, it's not like they lost the game through some crazy ref decision or Spanish players misbehaving, then at least there would have been some excuse for their behaviour. But they just got completely outplayed for 110 minutes, should've ended with 9 or 8 players on the pitch, and got a goal...

Yeah especially a good part of the show being in the catacombs where none of the actual audience could see it was bizarre. Glad that Spain won, Argentina played and behaved like absolute bottomfeeders. This Spain is extremely boring, but damn, they're good at what they do.

It was utterly fascinating to see a half-time show for once. Would be very happy to keep it at once :embarrassed:

Yeah, but it was made easy by England. No pressure on the midfield any more whatsoever. The first Argentinian goal was the direct result of everyone hanging in a back line and no one putting any pressure on people in the 2nd line. They got warned several times, and still they ignored it. Don't...

Pfff England parked the bus way too early. I'm getting real tired of coaches that think MOAR DEFENDERS and giving away the midfield completely is somehow going to end in anything other than disaster.

Gotta say, Roy Keane spouting a lot of shite is some of the best television you can get.

Yeah, that's pretty common. Usually some presenter, and a bunch of former players, sometimes a coach. This WC they also had some (former)players with double nationality/roots from nations playing that day to give some more context about the football culture etc.

When they had people like Torres, Xavi, Puyol, Ramos, Villa and Iniesta they at least had some character. The team now are all just these kind of bland perfect son-in-law borelords. Williams and Lamal are the only ones that display some character and personality.

I feel so bad for that substitute goalkeeper. France - Spain should be an absolute cracker. I'm kind of rooting for France for a change. They're so complete and there's a lovely energy and joy about their team. Spain is damn good, but they just feel a bit boring and characterless. Somehow just...

I think the USA played up to their potential. It just didn't look as spectacular because their opponent was at least equal at every position, and plays a lot higher pressure than the playstyle that the USA team is comfortable with requires. All the opponents the US did well against are the kind...

Just coming back to this because I see a lot of similar comments on Morocco not "showing up" against France last night. That's what being outclassed by a better team does :idk: It has nothing to do with lack of spirit or will to win. If your opponent just absolutely shuts you down and is...

The "clean" football associations can whine all they want, but one thing Infantino and Blatter understood very well is that there's plenty of votes to be gathered from smaller and poorer football nations that are tired of the overbearing and wealthy ones. Stuff like increasing the number of...
