Is Hollywood done with superhero flicks?

We bought our Doomsday tickets yesterday. I’m not expecting it to be great given that it’s an obvious cash grab built around stunt casting. But it gets our autistic daughter to leave the house so that’s something.

Is Hollywood done with superhero flicks?

Doomsday tickets just went on sale today. So we’ll know how much interest there in in superhero tentpoles pretty soon.

It took almost 40 years, but I'm now a Slash fan

From the crowd it was obvious that Axl’s in ears weren’t working for the first two or three songs. Once that was fixed he was on key and in time. When Paradise City turned into a 40,000 person singalong it was great. But even on time and in key he still sounded like he had just inhaled a big hit...

William Shatner is playing at Riot Fest this year.

They should have him dress up as Kirk and end the set being killed by GWAR. It would be parsecs better than the death he got in Generations.

Food Jam: It may be an unpopular opinion, I don't care, I'll say it anyways, I stand by it: only assholes make "overnight oats" you think you're better than me?

There are lots of good ways to work chia seeds into food if the food is good to begin with. The problem is getting the seeds out of your teeth after.

Mojo Request Let's see how observant you are: I know you've seen it before, we all have, but without looking it up, do you know the +4 digit extension of your ZIP?

I have no idea. Sometimes when I buy online the checkout system automatically corrects my address to include it. It just hasn’t mattered to me since I left NYC where every building in my neighborhood had its own extended zip code. I wonder what the extended codes are in huge buildings that have...

    Fender’s lawyers go to war!

It would probably improve QC on the USA instruments. And if Yamaha picks up Fender’s marketing department they’ll finally have people who know how to advertise guitars in the USA.

    BETRAYED!

The Boy recently stopped taking dexedrine for his ADHD. It’s going to be weeks before the new medication kicks in. In the meanwhile he’s sort of insane. I woke up at 2:30 am today with gastric distress that I will kindly not describe. Most of the day I’ve been alternating between feeling drunk...

    Fender’s lawyers go to war!

Shit just got crazy. Fender served notice to Yamaha. The biggest instrument maker on Earth. This should be interesting.

Most Played Songs On FM Rock Radio 1970’s

I guess Dire Straits is a pretty cool rock zodiac sign for me to have been born under. But Playlist Research shows this list, which is pretty damned good. QUEEN - We Will Rock You/We Are the Champions VAN HALEN - Runnin' With the Devil THE WHO - Who Are You KANSAS - Dust in the Wind JOURNEY -...

Food Jam: It may be an unpopular opinion, I don't care, I'll say it anyways, I stand by it: only assholes make "overnight oats" you think you're better than me?

I eat oatmeal almost every day. I put it in the microwave, take it out 75 seconds later, stir in some cinnamon, and eat it in about thirty seconds. I have no idea why people will spend three times that just prepping so they can wake up and eat cold oatmeal that tastes vaguely like dessert. But...

    Did You Know Black Sabbath…..

I knew it happened. I did not know that the show was bootlegged and posted to YouTube. This is pretty cool.

    Webb Space Telescope Thread II

Tonight The Boy and I went to see the latest stuff people are doing with JWST data projected on the 60 foot dome with the new 8k projectors. Some of it was mind boggling. The number of galaxies and stars they’re observing is wild. And they turned the data sets into beautiful infographics that...
