This Place Has A Pretty Good Reputation In Town

But, this box of donuts with tax cost me $46 and change! Which is why, more often, I’ll buy donuts at the grocery store.

This is a special occasion purchase because we’re coming up on Mother’s Day. I like to spoil my wife for a few days leading up to Sunday.

For that kind of money, I think Hurts Donut does it better. Yet, it’s not very close for us.

Horseshoe donuts are delicious. But, I agree that $46 is ridiculous. My wife loves them.

Fried cake is a wonderful sugar high. But, it’s something I should avoid most of the time. So, it’s just as well that these donuts are wildly overpriced.

~$4 donuts are pretty standard for gourmet/artisan shops but usually they're a 1 per person type of thing vs smaller cop shop donuts.
Those don't look very artisan though....
I agree. Other than the ones that are probably supposed to be horses but look more like poodles, they look like Dunkins. And a poodle donuts is not worth the price.

I admit that I am a donut snob; my father worked for small bakeries for years, so I remember what a real donut tastes like.

I’m no donut snob. Dunkin’ Donuts are fine by me.

The crazy doughnut place around here is Beechwood.
18 donuts for Easter was $76. Worth it though.

They are all vegan, too.
Not really a factor for me. They are way better than Tim Horton’s for sure.

I rarely have a donut now, as I am trying to eat semi-healthy. If I am going to have a cheat date, the donut better be exceptional.

Dunking used to have some decent donuts, but around here they no longer make them in the store, and their supplier lacks the ability to make decent donuts.

I spend $40ish when we go to our favorite donut place. That's about 15 donuts. Many of them specialty donuts. It's been a while though.

When we treat ourselves, I throw down 4 or 5.

Those white horse donuts have a thick layer of frosting.
