I had a red Coronado II without a trem. It was awesome, I really wish I hadn't sold it. I paid $400 for it in the mid 90s.

I like the antigua finish (I think it looks cool, and kind of different). As for Coronados - I've read that their pickups are typically pretty microphonic. Despite that, I still think it would be cool to have one. Roger Rossmeisel (who used to work for Rickenbacker), had a hand in the design of these guitars. The price is also about what I'd expect for this guitar, especially since not many antigua finish Coronados were made.

One of fender's worst guitars in their ugliest finish, and all for 3 grand more than it is worth due to retro/vintage fever. Uggh.

I think the Coronado IIs I have played over the years are probably at or near the top of the list of worst guitars I have ever touched. Seriously, the versions I have tried were terrible instruments. The finish is more of a subjective thing.

I kinda like the "idea" of the the existence of the Coronado, but the reality is not very appealing, especially in that color. A bolt on semi just doesn't seem right too.

The concept of the Antigua finish is kind of cool, but those are unpleasant colors.

Otherwise, I kind of like the guitar, sort of. Reminds me of a guitar a friend of mine played in one of my first bands, except I think his was a Japanese knockoff of the Coronado, so its rattle-factor was off the charts.
