Color: Pearlescent Burgundy
Condition: Brand New
Description: We purchased this new futuristic Kramer Triax in January 1986 at the NAMM show. There is no serial number that we could locate and was possibly the prototype. The Kramer Triax, designed by Floyd Rose, resembles a starship. It's all original. There were probably no more than ten Kramer Triaxes ever built and were never intended for mass production. The Boston Museum of Modern Art featured a Kramer Triax in their exhibit and Vintage Guitar Magazine did a color spead on the the Triax. Floyd Rose signed the guitar on the top. The neck thru body is mahogany. The neck has 22 frets with 10 dot inlays on the rosewood fretboard, and the scale is 25 3/4". Other features include black hardware, one volume, one tone, a three way switch, Gotoh tuners, Schaller strap locks and a Floyd Rose tremolo. The locking nut system is unique with a string retainer and six string trees. The Triax weighs 7.8 pounds. The pearlescent burgundy finish is in immaculate condition. It comes with its original custom hardshell flight case.

$4999

That is the most awesome guitar I have ever seen. If it were $49.99 instead of $4999, I would snatch it up in a second.

"Other features include black hardware, one volume, one tone, a three way switch, "

It has 3 knobs, what does the third one do?

Fuck yeah! This +1! I'd put one of those Ace Freely flame-shooting thingies on it and some lasers, maybe a Vai "glow in the dark" LED fret market kit......and dress up like Luke Skywalker while playing it.

Klingon Bird of Prey was my first thought as well. Cool design for a spaceship. Horrible design for a guitar.

I probably would have stabbed a small child in the face for that back then.

Twice if it had been zebra striped or fluorescent green.
