Description: This 2007 Gibson Custom Shop limited edition Zakk Wylde Flying V is in superb condition with the original Certificate of Authenticity. Production was limited to 300. The back of the headstock has the three digit serial number 26_ painted in white. A bullseye black and white paint finish on the top and seven ply body binding make this a standout stage guitar. The body is mahogany with a flame maple top. It has a mahogany set neck finished in black with an 22 fret ebony fingerboard and a 24 3/4" scale. The nut width is 1 11/16". There are ten block inlays on the neck and single binding on the sides of the neck. The large black headstock has five ply binding, and a diamond inlay with the Gibson logo. Electronics include an EMG 85 pickup in the bridge position and an EMG 81 in the neck position with dual volume and dual tone controls and a three way pickup selector. Other features include Grover tuners, nickel hardware, and a Floyd Rose temolo bridge with locking nut. With the exception of a handful of very tiny finish wear spots on the back of the guitar it looks virtually new. The neck is a large D profile that gradually flattens below the twelfth fret. There is almost no fret wear. The Gibson Zakk V is every bit as eye catching as its photos. The guitar comes with the original Gibson Custom hardshell black case with burgundy lining and the original care kit.

I don't like V's. I don't like bullseye graphics. I don't like ZW. I don't like that guitar.

as soon as I read "Zakk Wylde V" in the preview I knew I wouldn't like it. But all things considered that isn't as bad as I expected.

God damn do I want that. Unlike a previous poster, I love Vs, I worship Zakk Wylde, I'm kinda ok with bulleyes, love Floyd Roses. The only thing I'm not that into is EMGs, but I would take them in a guitar like this. Basically, I would play the shit out of this thing. Thanks for posting this!

The only problem with these artist guitars is that if you bring this out, people expect you to play like Zakk Wylde. It's like buying one of the EVH striped guitars, or building your own. You pull that out, and can't pull off Eruption, you're a douchebag.

I am definitely in the minority.

1) I like it
2) I don't like the paint, needs a new color
3) I love Floyd's
4) I dig ZW! What I like about him is his no frills, no BS approach to the instrument. His style is just in your face and take no prisoners approach. Granted you need to see him live more so than listen to his recordings.
5) I don't dig watch ZW spit on stage. That is Bullshit.
6) Whenever I am at a low on my guitar playing and prepping for a gig, I will put my Ozzy DVD on with Zack and it gets me energized. It is like a motivational charge to watch him play.

I've always kind of liked the Flying V, but the shape alone is flamboyant enough. Adding the bullseye is just too much.

I wouldn't mind owning a Korina V re-issue.
