1960 Fender Musicmaster

100% original guitar, plays/sounds great, orig. frets in exc.+ shape, no case, $1,000.00

I don't know much about those guitars so I can't comment on the price but it looks like something I'd hate to play.

I betcha some nut from the Offset Guitars forum would hit on it. :embarrassed: It's basically a one-pickup Duo Sonic. I've seen some of them from the mid 60s & 70s going for $500 lately. Believe me, there are some players who are fanatical about Fender's offset student models for doing ratty garage rock. To me, $1100 is waaaayy too much!

Pass

....there's several late 50s and early 60s musicmasters listed on gbase and they are listed for $1,550 -1,800

Cool... Cheapy tuners that are now rusty... Rusty barrel bridge saddles for shitty intonation, and a neck pickup... Value, 200 bucks... Add Fender logo and call it 'vintage', 1000 bucks... Nope...

I'd wanna play it. Some of those old Fender student models feel and sound real good. Still, I think $600 would be a lot closer to reasonable.

Some idiot will pay that much and drive the prices up even further. No way it is worth that kind of coin....
