About 25 years ago, I had tried my hand at some guitar builds. At the time, my skills and access to knowledge to improve them, was not robust. I built a couple bodies, that frankly were not that good. But because of my skill set, I did not feel up to making necks, so I had purchased a couple from Warmoth. Over the span of time, these had been forgotten. Recently I looked in a case from that era, and low and behold, still had one of the necks, a really nice strat neck with birdseye maple and an ebony fingerboard with a compound curve.
So, I went looking for a body and found a nice 2003 SE Squire strat body which had been updated with a bridge humbucker and more modern wiring. It came yesterday and I put everything together and sets it up.
