Happy new master bathroom to me (and more importantly, my wife)

blah, blah, blah...
I don’t have a single complaint. My contractor was the best ever. I got exactly what I wanted.
We finally got rid of the 90s brass nightmare bathroom we’ve had since 98. We got rid of a big whirlpool tub that my wife last used when she was first pregnant. That was 26 years ago.
The cabinetry was custom-made out of recovered Oak barnwood. I used the same wood on the door and the ceiling.
This should conclude all major projects. I also just added 1,100 sqft of finished space in my basement.

Nice! I really like the barn door along with the overall rough wood aesthetic. The contrast with the modern fixtures and shower really work. Nicely done. I better not show this to my wife. She's been after me to redo our master for years as well.

Happy wife, happy life! :thu:

Pink Floyd could record some righteous toilet noises in there. Get the ass pocket whiskey. It’s a happy new bathroom day!
Rule #1:
If you are going to incorporate the human element into said toilet noises, do not forget to remove the ass whiskey from your pocket.
Nobody likes a trip to the ER.

HNBD!

Looks great. I've been trying to get Mrs jbj to decide what she wants done with our upstairs bathroom for 2 years : facepalm:
