Report- it’s neither a piece or sht nor all that amazing.
Nut end is decent, fretwork is passable, neck relief seems about right. Passive electronics seem ok, no obvious faults.
String tension and feel, not really a fan. Could be the action is a bit high or the strings are too new, idk. No idea of the string brand but they certainly don’t feel the best.
I’ll give it some time any play in the strings before messing w the string ht.
If it doesn’t get to feeling better might try some flats if there is such a thing for these double ball end deals.
Basically it plays like a run of the mill $300-500 bass which is exactly what it is.
But hey, it looks cool hangin IMO and it’s certainly more travel friendly that most basses.

I actually tried one of the guitars for the first time a couple of months ago and was pleasantly surprised. Of course, I like headless guitars in both concept and practice, but thought I would hate the tiny body.

Didn't "like " it, but didn't dislike it enough to call it hate. The body that is, the guitar I wouldn't mind owning.

My brother played a Cort version of that bass for years. I always think of him when I see one of those. He also played a Rickenbacker bass for a good while.

I am not surprised by your evaluation. At least you have a cool looking guitar in your collection.
