Is it that time of year again?

It seems that once or twice a year, the YOOT UBERS adopt some form of a “I never thought I’d do this.” theme.
At least in terms of titles and thumbnails.

Last year, there was a crap ton of them. I got to the point where I couldn’t be bothered to watch them.

It seems like it’s starting again.

Anyone else seeing the same? Does it feel like it happens in kind of a wave and not all year long?
I know YT makes recommendations on content or theme or whatever.

That must be a first for him. He's usually leaning hard into the hate-fueled clickbait titles of his hit pieces. Dude has one of the most punchable faces on YouTube.

I think he's great. I'm not so interested in his taste in guitars, though.

For sure, but this theme seems to pop up at around the same time.
It feels like they’re all being told to do this kind of thing, at this point in time, to feed the algorithm.

I tend not to bother with them either. I recognise them for what they are. Clickbait.
Yet, there is still a bunch of them in my feed many of those I posted above are creators that I follow or regularly watch.
So, to their videos in my feed is not surprising.
What jumps out is the theme.

I think it kinda sucks that they have to do this.
Or maybe it’s they see one video come out and they all jump on the bandwagon for fear of getting shut out by the algorithm.
That sucks too.

I'm grumpy enough on my own... Everything I've ever seen from him has been fairly negative in tone (beyond the fact that it's not always based in reality) and I prefer to not consume content that makes me grumpier.
