They can be kind of oblivious sometimes. The bass player in my rock bands eyes glaze over when me and our drummer start talking about music or venues, he's always like "never heard of that band. Never been to that club." So anyways I booked a gig at a club I love and called another friend of mine about putting his band on the bill. I've played with this guy in three different bands over the years and did a one off gig with him a few weeks ago. He is the nicest guy in the world, super chill but when I asked him about doing the gig he told me the only problem was that his band had a gig the next night and it might be a conflict. I asked him where the gig was and he goes "someplace called the Auditorium Theater, I heard it's supposed to be nice." I was like "are you fucking kidding me? To me playing the Auditorium would be bigger than playing Madison Square Garden."

I guess it's kind of a nice place, only holds 3,700 people though.
