New 3M Dual Lock day!!!

After a couple years of gigging with my bamboo Boice Box pedalboard, I removed the carpet and made the area recessed for the wall warts in power strips, and was even able to stack a direct box on top of my Cioks power supply without it hitting the lid when closed.

Previously I would just stick on pieces of Dual Lock when I needed it, but after changing most of my pedals over the past two years, I figured it was time to make a fully lined toybox.

It needs at minimum, two small blocks of wood to reinforce the screws that hold the feet on, and it makes perfect platforms for things like the tuner to line up so the cable input is level with the edge of the board.

After cleaning the old glue and velcro off, I glued in new pieces of bamboo (from cutting board kits) and applied fresh Dual Lock to every surface.

Now its time to re-arrange my power supplies, pedals, and make some little risers to keep all the switches in easily reachable places, and the half of the cable channel still makes a great central location to keep all the wiring tidy and away from the edges to make it easy for the lid to go on and off.

I left the front edge carpet on so I can rest my foot against the pedalboard to know how close I am to different switches without looking down as much.

My new Midi pedal arrives this week while I'm on vacation. :thwap:

I may have to make some kind of breakout box to put all of the inputs and outputs in the same place so I can pack all of the pedals right up against each other.

The new Midi pedal is a Morningstar MC6 pro.

While learning the programming methods, I figured out that I can set it to do the Clean, Crunch, Gain, Solo and effects that I use in the Kemper… AND control my Soldano Astro 20 and Eventide H9 at the same time! This will allow me to program them to A/B compare as well as be gig ready with the same buttons and functions regardless of which rig I’m using per venue. :helper:
