Products you've owned forever that just won't die.

Duller than cardboard
I've got a 20 year old Denon receiver that's built like a tank and works like new. You cannot kill the goddamn thing. It will probably survive the Apocalypse with Keith Richards and cockroaches.

Whatcha got?

35 year old Sony receiver/amp. Still used to power outdoor speakers. My current indoor receiver is a Denon which I hope lasts as long.

1999 Fender Passport suitcase PA that my parents got me for high school graduation. Still works 100%, used it for a gig a month or so ago (playing at the old folks home). After that gig I retired it and got a JBL EON stick PA but only because the Passport weighed a ton and I wanted something lighter with features like Bluetooth. But I am certain the Passport will continue to work for the foreseeable future should I ever need it.

I have an LL Bean “wool shirt,” which is really a light jacket, that I bought for camping when I was about 15. I don’t think I’ve ever even had to re-sew a button on it. I use it extensively for cool drippy weather.

In college, one of my dorm mates called it my “old man jacket.” Now it really is!

I've got a 20+ year old pair of Doc Martin's I wear practically daily though they do need some tlc as they're cracking at the edges now.

Also a 20+ year old set of Roland td6 v drums. The input is a bit crackly but it still plays and sounds good. Baffles me how it's lasted so long.

11 year old iMac

still use it daily to record music and do design work. Although it struggles with resource heavy processing such as After Effects rendering, and I can’t update the OS any further, it is still in full working condition

I got this Patagonia jacket in 2009. I went camping about two weeks after I got it and I was drunk and moving a butane lantern and I burned part of the sleeve. When I got home I gooogled how to patch this type of material so i got some of the right glue and then I cut a piece of material from something similar ( i think it was an old nylong back or hat) and I glued it on then left a couple heavy books on it for 24 hours.....it's still perfect, both the patch and the jacket. (13 years old)

I bought this Snap on creeper in 1999almost 24 years old). Everyone who worked at the shop used it (about5 people besides me over the years) it was run over by a Ford truck about 9 years ago (only broke a wheel). I finally bought a different style one from Matco tool this year but I still use this one daily especially if I'm going on the asphalt (almost 24 years old)

A rain jacket I bought in Seattle about 30 years ago. Restitched a couple of areas, still going strong for out in the woods.

Lots of stuff
1991 Nissan Pathfinder (wife's car)
1997 Acura Integra GS-R (my car but might get rid of it because I simply don't drive it enough)
1982 Road Bike still working with original chain/cassettes
Too many old clothes nothing gets tossed until there are holes in them
A chesterfield (sofa) and chair that was my parents when they first got married in the mid 50's
Dishes and Utensils from the 80's or earlier

1981 Carvin DC100, some fret wear, but its never has so much as an intonation or truss rod adj. Solid as a rock.
Technics direct drive turntable, circa 1980. All thats ever been done to it is needle replacement.
1973 Grumman aluminum 17' canoe. This thing is truly indestructable, and believe me Ive tried.

Bought around 1990
Way more suction than cordless around here. Replaced cords and hoses.

I had a green fleece pullover that I bought in 1994 that I loved and wore religiously with rotating tshirts underneath every winter. My wife got rid of it because she couldn't see it anymore, which pissed me off.

And I have a Timex Indiglo alarm clock from 1993 that is still on my nightstand. It gets knocked over often, pick it up, put the battery back in and rock on.

Behringer FCB1010. I almost wish it would die so I can buy something smaller and lighter. Also have a Shure sm57 from my high school days so that would be about 53 years old. Still sounds great.

I had a belt I bought when I was 21. It was the only belt I owned and wore it everyday for nearly 30 years. It finally broke a couple years ago.
