The Moon last night

Riding Solo
Was particularly beautiful about 11pm local time with a HUGE ring around it that encompassed part of Orion and Jupiter.

I tried to take a picture but cellphones just don't do it justice

Here too. I could see Orion and a few other stars around, but it dominated the sky. I also left a very distinct shadow as I was walking the dog between 9 and 10. as Orion's belt was rising up from the east.
 
Someday my brain may actually convince my eyes that the moon isn't larger on the horizon. But last night was not that night. The moon was HUMONGOUS.
 
Was heading out the door at 5, already running late. But had to run back in put the camera on a tripod and shoot 4 or 5 frames before throwing the sd card in my bag and jetting off. HDR'd it at work when I got in...
