Took my PRS 594 S2 apart to upgrade the electronics (Seymour Duncan Custom Shop ‘78 with rotary coil tap) so I took the hardware off to buff the top.

When you can’t get those stupid threaded rods to screw in because there’s no grip and no screwdriver slot in the end…

These little 6-32 acorn nuts screw onto the end, giving a little leverage for a socket or such to screw in, and then you just back it off the end of the post.

If there is enough threads you can put two nuts on the stud and lock them against o e another and twist it out.
