Your favourite song by Toad the Wet Sprocket....

Since this is sporadically happening I'm jumping in today. Also because Glen Phillips emailed me today and let me know that Toad (my fave band from the 90s) is officially a band again. They have been doing some tours dates since they broke up in '97, but now they are back together and may record a new CD even.

Cool...

A couple of my faves....and I could list a couple dozen....

Thanks! I was trying to come up with something for today, and this seems great.

Nancy is my favorite, followed by Fall Down.

Are they a Christian rock act or a fellow traveler sort of act? Titles, lyrics, and whatnot give off that general vibe.

I love "Walk on the Ocean." It's the first one of theirs I ever heard, and it's still my fave.

I'll have to go back and listen bu I loved so much of the Dulcinea album...

Dulcinea is one of my favorite albums of the 90's.

Not Christian rock. Melodic alt rock ala REM and Gin Blossoms with some nods towards folk rock. With awesome lyrics and musical hooks...

They just seem Christian-rock-y. Can't put my finger on it. I haven't heard nor thought of them since 199? when they were in the alt rock radio rotation.

Hold Her Down

or

Something's Always Wrong

I saw them live last year. They sounded great. They refused to play "Hold Her Down." It is a shame people misinterpret lyrics then blame the band.

I really like this band. I saw them a few summers ago with Big Head Todd and the Monsters, great show. If I had to pick just one it would be this.

Glad to see they are still touring. When I saw them a few summers ago, they said it was the last tour. the drummer has some kind of weird illness where his bones are super brittle and they said that was the last tour.

I saw them about two to three months ago and they were really good.
