what would happen

angry tele

L'effet c'est moi
if you put tv jones filtertrons in a thinline tele?
i reckon it would sound more like a grestch than a cabronita
which dont particularly sound all that grestchy

After being a skeptic, I got a hold of a humbucker-sized TV Jones Classic/Classic Plus set on craigslist. I put them in a Warmoth build.

I'm a skeptic no more. For cleans, they are amazing. And all I care about are cleans.

The best part is they can make pretty much any two-humbucker guitar sound ok. I have fantasies of taking a total pointy shred guitar and making it sound like a Gretsch.

yeah even cheap korean filtertrons sound great. especially the neck pickup. why Its the fattest, roundest, warmest neck pickup I ever did play

I plan on putting a tv jones classic plus in the bridge of my cabronita but keep the neck stock

filtertrons even more than mini humbuckers just sound like really fat single coils
and the best part? no hum!
and they look cool as all get out. like 1950s cool, daddy-o
and shiny

After taking the plunge into Gretsch, I am a believer in the Filtertrons, and that's without going to the TV Jones models.

It depends on which filtertrons

The classics I don't really care for in a solid body. They sound good but they need s big hollow interior to sound like what you expect them too (kind of like how the strat trem is a big part of the strat sound). So if it's the classics it'll sound good, probably similar to a duo jet or a penguin.

I'd its the powertrons, those sound amazing in a solid body but will sound basically the same in the hollow body.
