Who's gigging this weekend?

I haven't had a gig in close to a month (since NAMM) but I'm playing tonight at Muldoons in Newport Beach. Shoud be fun an a little low key.

I had a fill in gig last night. It was a blast, plus I got to play a ton of songs that I've never played before. Kind of refreshing.

We played for the first time since Halloween. Great gig. Had a guitarist sit in for a bunch of stuff. He was really good and we ended up playing a bunch of stuff we've never played before.

We are booked for March 2nd. We almost never play bars, but we have a new (and AWESOME) bassist, so figured that we'd better tighten the act up prior to the big stages as well as try out some of the new material that he has brought in.

I'm excited!

Sweet! What kind of band?

We are the ultimate "party - variety - cover" band. We do everyting from The Beatles to Carrie Underwood to Foo Fighters to Evanessance. We are a 5 piece with guitar, bass, drums, keys/sax (same guy) and a fantastic female vocalist! Having played pro and semi-pro for 40 + years, this is not only the largest variety I have ever had on a set list, but the best bunch of folks (musical ability and personality wise) I've ever had the honor to play with. You can check us out at www.alreadygone-live.com!

Cool!

Thats similar to what we do except for we only have a 3 piece band.

Excellent! It's always great to see us "mature" folks still rockin' out! Heck, I get to go see my daughter and her husband's band these days!

My next gigs are in April. Carol and I are doing a multi-media program at the Unitarian Church for Sunday service on April 7, then we are doing "A Celebration of Nature in Poetry and Music" with our friend Richard Bachtold at NEFFA on April 19th. I've come to prefer to do satisfying gigs on an occasional basis than a lot of gigs I don't enjoy.

Scotland's Party DJ (tm) is rocking it at a bowling club (as in lawn bowls not 10 pin bowling) down on the coast on Saturday night.

Got a 1 hour vocal set lined up for later on in the night and I'll hopefully have taken delivery of a brilliant new laser by then.
