Anything Beat The Iphone?

Apple TV. :embarrassed:

I control my seagate media server from my iphone too. Also, I can control the lights in my media room, my thermostat, and my home alarm system. This 'low level' automation stuff is pretty standard these days.

There are apps to control your DAW from the iPhone and the new Presonus Studiolive consoles have iPad control.

I'd say android. Any android, but ESPECIALLY the samsung and motorola androids. They're fantastic and a lot less boxed in than the iPhone. I also dislike apple on general principle.

Well, read this and think about how much you like android:

That being said, as a systems administrator Androids constantly drop off our corporate email system necessitating angry people to be set-up again and again and the iphones don't have these problems. Some of the hardware is better than others but a backdoor root exploit is sloppy security IMO.

Plus our company has now invested in an infrastructure that allows the iphones and ipads to print, to connect wirelessly to large LCD displays in the conference rooms and beam audio-visual content to said displays as well. Doesn't work with Androids.

The iPhone/iPad is becoming the standard that Windows PCs were in the 1990s. They are THE smartphones for doing music related things with. IMO.

I owned a droid for over 2 years. I owned my iPhone for 12 hours before I declared it the greatest phone evers

This thread has just become relevant to me. I may finally get a smartphone. Right now I'm on basically the smartest dumb phone there is (Galaxy T).

Both my coworkers have smartphones, I love'em. I cant get an iPhone with T-Mobile, so Id have to wait a few months for that. They do have android phones though. I have to admit, my wife and I both want Siri. Badly. I know it doesnt work exactly like the commercials, but I love the idea. You guys are saying Android will do this as well?

I have no idea what the app is called, but I know people have made Siri like apps for the android.
