I hadn't even heard of this amp until I just stumbled across it on Musicians Friend.

I was almost convinced until I read this review.

Well, I'm a gigging musician, lead guitarist for the band "Severed Oath". I've been playing through this head and a windsor cab for ultimate metal crunch. Now, the 3120 blew away a mesa Dual rectifier, a 5150, a 6505 and every Marshall I could find. I almost bought a line 6 spider valve, then i tried this...which has a more clear distint tone even when gain all of the way up, cleaner sound, and the el34's are awesome. I think Peavey wanted to make a amp similar to the ultra plus...just more modern, well...this is it. I run my guitar into a tuner, then a wah pedal then right into the amp. You might want to think about getting a noise gate for it though. Great amp!!!

I've hear dof these actually. Not a ton, but heard them mentioned a few times, and it is usually good stuff.

Just checked youtube to see if I could find some clips. Sounds pretty good!






EDIT: Watching even more .... I WANT ONE! NOW!

Which isnt a bad price for a 120 watt tube amp that, knowing Peavey is built like a tank, and sounds REALLY good. But I 1) Have no use for it and 2) dont have 800 to blow on an amp
 
But dude - it edged out a SPIDER VALVE!!! It HAS to be an awesome amp!

You know you want one...
