New Guitar ideas....

I have some cash saved up for a new electric...looking for ideas.

Really would be interested in one of two possible types...

1. P-90 guitar. I don't have one. Likely a two pickup model though I have been kicking around the idea of a single pickup model (ala Gibson LP Jr).

2. Twin humbucker fixed bridge model. Possibly a semi-hollow. I really like the idea of the PRS Zach Meyers model, but without all the bling. That is WAY too over the top for me. I don't have a single cut so that is attractive.

Budget - under $1k.

Go....

This is the one-pickup guitar that I'm currently lusting over. It's just a matter of time, really. (and no, not my carpet).

I just bought a Reverend Contender 290 that fits all of your criteria. It's lightweight (7 pounds), has all the body contouring you could ask for, and sounds and plays very sweetly:

Being an Eastman fan, I would be all over that too. I just don't want to spend that much on a guitar right now. But that looks awesome.....

I've never played an Eastman, but currently not having any HB guitars I have to admit to being more than a little interested in the

Used Vela Semi-hollow  Got mine for $775 + shipping and tax with a little searching and offer-making.

Have I mentioned I may be Vela happy???

If I were gonna go for a single P90 item, I’d be tempted by this...

I kinda dig the Harmony Jupiter and Rebel in the double HB space and you can find them used in your price point on Reverb pretty often. I was pretty torn between those and the Reverend Roundhouse I recently purchased. I ultimately chose the Roundhouse because I wanted the feel and playing experience of the set neck, carved top thing vs. the bolt on slab.

The PRS SE hollowbody is right around $1K new. Twin buckers, fixed bridge. I almost bought one about a year ago, they look pretty sweet.
