For dirty toanz, I don't think it gets much better than Van Halen's Mean Street. I love the way the open strings of the G chord just thrash the mid range frequencies.
For cleans, I can't really put a finger on it. There are a bunch of clean tones that sound good to me, but none off the top of my head that make me feel the way the Mean Street toan does.
My favorites are more or less unchanged from when we last had this thread, about 6 days ago:
