HOLY BALLZ. Um, this is a MAJOR upgrade for me from my Valve Jr. Its ridiculous!

OK, I have only been playing for about 45 minutes. It seemed like 5. I have tried all the different watt/schizo combos, they all sound badass. I finally settled on the 60 watt/UK combo and got to DIME IT. Wife was on her run. Its a good thing too, it would have blown her panties clean off. RAWK!!!!! It didn't seem incredibly loud, but it sounded so fucking awesome I wanted to cry. (Ok, remember, this is my first tube amp of over 5 watts, so I may be overly excited right now)

Ok, the Reverb is dead. I knew that going in. Turned down it makes no noise. It will be fun to have it after it gets fixed.

Man, what else do I have to say...I dont know. It sounds really good with the Peavey cab. The cab handled the amp turned all the way up with no issues, it just sounded HUGE. HUGE! I guess maybe that it is it, it sounds a lot richer then the VJ. And it really delivers a lot more clarity. I can really hear the different strings and tones from them. Ok, sorry for getting all drooly. :embarrassed:

I see you took my recommendation of "Schizo Switch" for a user title. I love those Reverend amps. They just drip with tone.

I keep mine on 60 watts and the schizo on "UK" always. The reverb is decent once you get it working. All around great amp, I'd like to hook mine up to my cab to see how it sounds sometime. Enjoy!

Hells yeah on all counts! I loved the idea of that user title as son as you suggested it, LOL!

60 watts and UK is my favorite setting so far.

And Jake, I don't think I need dirt pedals at all (except fuzz). I am running the guitar directly into the amp and I am not using any pedals at all and its the best tone I have EVER had.

keep those dirt pedals around. they come in handy even when you love your distortion channel.

I will. I am actually very happy with both my TS-9 (which I would like ot have modded) and my MSR Distortion + (which I believe is a very underated pedal). I am considering getting rid of my Valve Jr...I'm not sure what I need it for anymore. Maybe I'll keep it and mod it for fun.

Awesome amp. Is it a two channel? Does it have a footswitch?

Congrats.

No footswitch. It has two settings, a 40 watt setting and a 60 watt setting. And those settings can be set to "US" or "UK". The UK setting is more Voxy, and the US setting is more Bassman like. The 40/60 switch is on the back of the amp, it would be cool to have a footswitch for that, I'm not sure if they have that option though.

So - when we jam do we meet at your basement of rock or mine?? That is a sweet looking setup!

OH the choices!!!!

Thanks Dave, I am working from home today - from my basement and everytime i look up I see the Rev sitting on top of the 410 and I just get geeked!

Its cool to see someone so jazzed about a new amp purchase....congrats!

True......I've had my H&K for a couple years already and the honeymoon isn't over by a longshot. ( best part is....... it's paid for!) Just wait till he explores what it can do. Which is always a lot of fun.
