Rivera Pubster

Johnny N.

Kick Henry Jackassowski
Anyone have any knowledge of these? I still want a Classic 30 but I may have a chance to pick up the Rivera at a good price.

I think burgess has one and loves it. You may have to venture over to GJ to find him. Haven't seen him in here in a while.

Which model - the 25 or the 45?

I owed a Clubster 45 - same amp as Brocktoon owns. Very good sounding amp. A nice clean channel that is Fenderish and a good OD channel that is very Marshallish. The 25's are a bit more Fenderish on the claen side, but do not have a ton of clean headroom. The Pubster is similar to the Clubster. The main difference is that there is one set of EQ knobs for both channels on the Pubster, and a set for each channel on the Clubster.

Very nice amps. I really liked mine. But then I got a line on a Dr Z Route 66.....

This one is a 25. I like the features of the Clubster better but this is a NOS kind of deal so I dont have the choice. The new prices are over my head either way.

I would have to get a serious line to get anything Dr. Z. Even the Maz Jr. 18 is pretty expensive.

You have a Dr Z?

Had.....

It was a 2x10 combo and the sucker weighed about 80 pounds. I'm too much of a wimp to haul that sucker around much. I had a steep flight of stairs down to the rehearsal spot at the time. It was one loud sucker too! Sweet tone though. Not a pure clean tone - always just a little dirt on it (which is just about perfect...).

I am still Jonesin' for a Dr Z, but either a separate head and cab or a 1x12 combo - probably a Maz Jr. in either case.....
