I was just gonna poast this Peen.....figures you'd beat me to it :mad: ....I was sitting on the crapper perusing Apple news on my iOad as I am wont to do and I see a headline about Ryan Adams creeping on women and sexting a 14 year old over 3000 times....dude is a creeper for sure.

In more positive news I saw where Tesla has made a Dog friendly car for Fido though.
 
I saw that last night while I was also on the shitter, like @DdBob. I was like "Isn't he married to Mandy Moore?" but as I scrolled further I discovered they got divorced in '16 because he was a douche to her and that his subsequent fiance also left him because he was a massive douche.
 
His personality, generally, has never really been ok. Whiskeytown, his first band, was in Raleigh. So I saw him all the time in the 90’s. It was always a crapshoot as to whether he’d be too drunk or irritable to put on a real show.

He’s always been a bratty twat who pasted over lazy songwriting with prolific songwriting. But occasionally he’d muster something that paid off on his potential. But this is just a monumental mountain of shittiness and he should not get to come back from this. He squandered his “get out of cultural jail free” cards years ago. And it looks like he’s an expert level douchebag and abuser.

Gross as all the casting couch bullshit is, the behavior outlined in the article is seriously fucked up. I mean, the minute you have to think, “Hey, is this person old enough to provide legal consent? Let’s joke around about it” is probably the point where your should knock it off. Dirty talk with weird uncle Ryan seems like the grossest thing ever.

I can’t imagine...even if you loved his records/act...how you could not think he was a super jerk. It’d be like being shocked to learn Frank Black Francis or Jack White or John Mayer or Billy Corgan or Lou Reed or Van Morrison or Gene Simmons was a total weirdo/jerk/combo of both.

Well, some people can forgive quite a lot if they dig the music enough I guess. Up to a point obviously, and by the looks of it he's gone way past the point of what's acceptable...

I like plenty of music by terrible people. If you like “classic”-era pop and rock, the odds are you like music by awful people. JIMMY PAGE ONCE BASICALLY OWNED HIS UNDERAGE GIRLFRIEND.

But still, it shouldn’t be too hard to recognize that these people are often pretty awful. And Ryan Adams’ certainly isn’t John Lennon enough to get people to look the other way re: his abusive behavior.
