What State were you born in?

Born right here in N Alabama and never left the state other than vacations. College and job took me to most parts of the state over my career but I wound up right back where I started, lol.
I wish I had moved to Colorado or NM before real estate got totally out of hand but everything was paid for and the cost of living here is cheap so I never took the plunge. I used to get along with apolitical secular good ol boys but after culture wars, Trump, and vax hysteria they are pretty much a thing of the past.
I guess Im stuck in Redneckland for the rest of my life. Oh well, Im used to it.

And as this “tough white guy being scared of stuff” video shows, parts of Harvey have kind of an eerie abandoned feel. But I was just there for work a couple weeks ago and it’s also a totally normal place where normal people live.
