James Trussart Steelcaster 2019 Rust O Matic Gator

The Trussart Steelcaster tone is a uniquely annunciated sound that, combined with the resonant qualities of the hollow steel body can range from sweet, crystal clear tones to aggressive screaming lead tones. The construction of these instruments is only half of the story, the other half is the finish, every instrument comes with a history and a slight element of neglect, of decay, so it has a personality of it’s own.

[BlockInlay]

nope

[Chicken Man]

I don't hate it. Seems like a steel body would be hard to mod, though.

Has Trussart ever made teles with maple necks and fingerboards?

[tiger roach]

I like the way it looks, but I don't want to touch it.

Love the looks, but probably wouldn't want to play it often.

[Denverdave]

I have heard a lot of good things about this guitars, but I have never seen one in person. I would like to try one out sometime. I do like the looks of that one...

[Dexter Inferno]

That does look quite cool, and I usually hate the relic stuff.

[bsman]

I do have to say I like the PU configuration a lot. Back when Fender was selling the "Hot Rod '52 Telecaster" with the SD minihum in the neck, I thought that seemed like a pretty ideal configuration. Maybe someday I'll have Ron Kirn build me one...
