6 Screw Squire Tremolo?

Check out Musiclily parts. Search for them on Amazon. Depends on where the slop is originating from though. Yes it may be in the bridge area but there are several moving parts.

There's much nuance to this question that needs to be elaborated upon.

What's the issues with the current bridge?

Not 100 % sure about fitting on a Squire but the Callaham Narrow bridge fit my MIM start perfectly and there is no slop or play on the trem arm. Pricey though. I've used Musiclily bridges with success too. Less pricey.

Are you saying that the bridge is raised from the back? Usually you can add a new spring or replace the springs. You can also pull the claw back using a Phillips head screwdriver. Most 6 string Fender MIM trems will fit Squires. However, if you have an Affinity, you will need a shorter tremolo block. You can buy those from Amazon or GFS.

What I am saying is that the bridge is sloppily made and has a lot of movement before the sound changes. Is there a bridge with no slop that will fit this guitar?

Thanks to all who replied!

It may have been sloppily made, but that rust and what may be a mixture of hair, grass clippings, and finger schmoo certainly isn't helping the functionality of the trem.

I would likely replace the trem anyway more because of that.

Have you removed the pickguard and bridge and checked to see if the narrow block of wood it’s attached to is not cracked and loose in the body? Had one like that in a box of parts I bought years ago.

BTDT the problem is the arm/bridge junction. I have to screw it tight remove the slop. Then it is rigid and does not work the way it ought to. Will get something off Amazon.
Thanks for the reply.
