Anyone ever use Carl Martin effects?

Irony has it the that the guitar player I am playing with weekend has one. It sounded alright and will give you more of that Gary Moore type sound. He did mention that it sounded great with Fender type amp but not with THD that he owns. He used a strat in HSS config with the H being a Duncan JB.

How well do you know Jim F from the jams? Maybe you can try his? Will be playing with him on Saturday so I can try it myself before the gig starts and tell ya what I think. My comparison will be vs. the BB
 
I don't really know him....I also have a hard time getting to the jam because of my gig and family schedule...
 
Jimmy organizes the OC jams at Malone's while Richard organizes the jams at Boscoe's which is where I first met you. That is probably why.
