Achtung! Chicagotonians

I often wish I was still there. Best city or place I've lived out of the 8 places I have lived so far in my life.
I was telling a co-worker about my Manny's tonight and then described the eat-a-thon I have to go on when I get back to Chicago.
Potbelly's
Superdawg
Portillo's
Al's
Manny's
Lou Malnati's
The indian place I forgot the name of
The 3am burrito joint
The Ethiopian restaurant we used to go to
And on and on.
And not just food. neighborhoods, people, shops, all of it.
we have many Indian places here. I have an Ethiopian restraunt within walking distance.....too many burrito joints to mention....we have mountains too

*edit* and we have a Portillo's opening soon *spits*

I have zero interest in your one season desert landscape. I live in Florida already and hate it. I want four distinct seasons with culture and flare. You can't claim that no matter how hard you try.

We actually have three seasons (four if you count Monsoon season)...cool, warm and hot. .we even have geographic diversity. Something neither Florida or Chicago can match
In one hour I can be at 8500 feet in the snow and pines..

That's nothing. In one hour, people in Chicago can be in the 1950s.

Forgot this one from Wednesday. :embarrassed:

bike guy was playing N.Y. State of Mind by Nas so I tossed him off the bridge. he was immediately followed by a bike guy playing Rhythm of the Night.

went to shop n save across the street from superdawg and would've taken a photo for MZ if I hadn't forgotten my phone because I always have to forget something. been to like seven grocery stores and zero restaurants. :embarrassed:

Just saw this pic on local reddit. It's from Mt. Lemmon looking north toward the San pedro valley. We are in our monsoon season so everything is exceptionally green right now. This is about an hour from my door....not really dry nor desert :embarrassed:

Random coincidink: I wore a superdawg t shirt today

For radio I prefer Chrip (107.1) and WZRD (88.3) from my alma mater, Northeastern Illinois University. ZRD has a history of playing a LOT of weird stuff.

I finally did it. I sad I need to screenshot Peen's post of places to eat in my O'Hare thread. Actually did it now, thought I remembered he mentioned more than one place but, whatever. :)

This post made me think of it, wrote down station numbers on the paper the screenshot printed on. Will see if I have any luck when I'm in Kankaburbaly and, or, keep them in the van for when evil people think my time has no value and I have to go North.

Both stations are online.
