WTF: DIFFICULT CONVERSATION: If Barry Manilow has been alive forever and he wrote the very first song, then why didn't he do anything to try and stop 9/11?

If he's truly been alive forever and he wrote the very first song, he put the words and the meoldies together, he is music and he writes the songs... don't you think that those uncountable eons of life would have given him the foresight and wisdom to at least warn about (if not prevent entirely) the 9/11 attacks? Especially when you consider that his 1984 album 2:embarrassed:0 AM Paradise Cafe had a song on it called "Bin Laden Determined To Strike In The U.S."?

Outrageous that you don't hear more about this, don't you think? Let's have the difficult conversation, folks.

If I’d Been There in Time to Stop 911 -by Barry Manilow (unpublished)

I used to think my biggest worry
Was finding one more rhyme.
Now I stare up at the morning sky
And wish I could turn back time.
If only life came with rehearsal,
If only fate would leave a sign.
I’d trade every standing ovation
For one more chance to rewrite the line.

Oh, if I’d been there in time to stop 911,
I’d have shouted from the rooftops high.
I’d have waved my arms till every soul
Looked up instead of passing by.
Forget the spotlight, keep the fame—
None of that would matter then.
I’d gladly sing to an empty room
If it meant they’d all make it home again.

No hero’s cape upon my shoulders,
No crystal ball to see ahead.
Just another dreamer wondering
About the things that could’ve been instead.
History’s a stubborn melody,
It won’t change keys on my command.
Still I can’t help humming softly,
Imagining a different ending.

I dunno, I mean even Plato ran out of good ideas. But you have a point, and you might ask too why Da Vinci didn't just build that fucking helicopter?
