That said and not wanting to destroy the collector's value of mine (approx $5000.00 in early 2012), I recently purchased on eBay a new Epiphone "1958 Korina Flying V Reissue" in Alpine White (made in China, but surprisingly made VERY WELL!) with Epiphone Flying V form-fit hard case for just under $470.00 total shipped! I can't stand "hard tail" guitars, so with this Epi V, I am adding a "Stetsbar" gold vibrato while keeping the classic look of the "upside-down gold strings-thru guide plate" and replacing the original pickups with Seymour Duncan "Pearly Gates" humbuckers, double-white with gold poles. I don't mind "buggering-up" this Epi V because at 63 years of age now, I won't ever live long enough to see this guitar become a "high-priced collector's item" like my "LM Flying V!" I also just purchased a new Fernandes "Vortex Elite Flying V Sustainer" in Snow White with hard case at a very friendly LOW-price! Now I've got the whole "Flying V Spectrum" covered from classic '60's rock 'n blues to the latest thrash-metal grind-core! LOL!

Fifty cents sounds about right.
 
Has to be an alt-prank. The odds of such a big giant gaping A-hole falling out of the sky so close to fool's day has to be pretty high.
 
IMO that V is drop dead sexy!!!! I love to look at V's,and see other people play them. I dislike how Neck Heavy they are
