We haven't been to a July 4th fireworks show in years because our whole neighborhood sets off fireworks...I mean full-blown mortar fireworks...and it totally freaks out our dog. It's a rough couple of days for her every year on/around 7/4 and 1/1. However, we did make it out to the park in the afternoon where they have free concerts on two stages all day. It was quite hot and humid here this year, but we caught a few bands. These guys were a really good local band, The Brown Brothers band served up some old-school country with some originals mixed in. When they said they were going to play a Zeppelin song, I figured it'd be Stairway since he had the double neck. It was not. They did When the Levee Breaks instead...good use of the 12 string.
