Haters can go take a flying leap (Rush content)

The winner for me on "most awkward gig ever" was when Pino filled in for Entwistle 4 days after he died. With the rest of the band looking over at him expecting to see John.

From all of the videos I have watched, Anika killed it!!!

I only saw Rush may eons ago supporting the Grace Under Pressure Tour. Haven't seen them since other than videos. Too me Anika gave a new life to Rush's music. A new evergy that IMO was missings. Don't get me wrong but after playing in a Rush Tribute for 3.5 years in my past, you tend to understand the music and work to do the best interpretation that you can. After all we aren't Rush and that is how I percieve Anika in her role. The energy she brought put smiles on both Alex and Geddy.

Watching the videos, this is a bright spot in dark times. I don't think I've ever seen a band having so much fun on stage. Anika is just killing it. I think I read Geddy took vocal lessons to make sure he could come close to the notes. In a Guitar World interview it hit me how much Alex and Geddy are just good friends. They'd still get together every couple of weeks for a coffee, dinner and chat.

Geddy's bass tone is just killer. Alex's rhythm tone is good. I've never really liked his live lead tone. It has that weird sound I noticed on Page's Celebration Day lead tones.

That aside, I do wish I had good tickets to see this. I will buy the inevitable DVD they release.
