Have you ever had a nickname?

DdBob

Dogue in teh desert
Like maybe yer a Hells angel and your a rather big dude so they call you "Tiny" or perhaps yer a Golden Glove boxer and your nickname is "Killer" even though you are well mannered and super nice.

I guess the closest I ever had was when i worked on a golf course around 1990 and I think i was wearing a size too large shoe and I have regular width feet so I had to lace them really tight so on e of my co-workers named me "leather meats"

how about you ?

I was known as "Jake" to many people in college, due to my last name matching that of Jake Sweeney, who owned several large car dealerships in Cincinnati. His family still owns quite a few, so while no one calls me Jake any longer, I do frequently get asked if I'm related. It happened constantly when I briefly worked as a car salesman, despite never working at one of the Sweeney dealerships.

Some of my friends call me Cho. When I got a fake ID the person misread my first name and put Cho on it.

I was called by nicknames, or variations of my last name for so many years that when people started calling me by my first name, I would not react because I didn't know they were talking to me.

T-bone. love that T-Bone!

(not really, it was actually Tree - because I'm tall and had very clever subtle-minded friends)
