Morning all... beautiful weather :love:

I figured out the last half of Micro Cuts last night... just a few octaves followed by a stonking outro riff. I'm actually amazed that I figured it out myself, no tabs :eek:

2:43 onwards.

AH that reminds me. I heard that new Muse song on the radio yesterday. Now I'm no Muse fan by any stretch of the imagination but it was just awful. Makes their old stuff sound somewhat good.

Lovely day here. I am quite surprised that it didn't rain overnight; I thought that it was more or less guaranteed to because I spent two hours watering four cricket pitches yesterday.

Today is mrs_huge's birthday. She has gone into the office, but we are planning to take an evening amble to a canal-side pub for a meal later. In the meantime, I shall probably go over to the cricket club; there are some junior games on around lunchtime that I might see if I capture some photos of, and then there is some grass to cut.

On Saturday evening we have a 'Race Night' at the cricket club. I am wondering whether I should 'black up' and practice a couple of Al Jolson songs. Actually, I have been prevailed upon to buy a horse in one of the races. I called it 'Louisiana Recipe', because it will surely let me down.

Bet it's nice up on the Chase today. Have fun, Todge! Break a leg!

Okay, that's it. I think I am leaving this place.

I realise that everyone is allowed to have a different opinion, and I respect that. But do you seriously think I'm going to sit here and take that sort of crap?

I am sick and tired of people trying make me feel bad about the music I listen to, and saying that my favourite band are shit right to my face. I've simply had enough. I'm sick of this place trying to dictate my music taste, and the sneering and elitism I see exhibited towards any form of music that doesn't feature a guitar.

You know what, I'm done. I should be able to listen to the music I like without being made to feel like crap about it, so I'm leaving.

Chill Ethan. You have to keep in mind that tom here hates almost everything. :wink:
Put him and Kerouac together and they'll have just about every band/artist covered in the "do not want" category. :grin:

Most others here hates prog, as an example, but that doesn't make me want to leave.
I just mutter "the bastards are all fucking wrong" to myself, and then keep on going. :grin:

I actually like a few Muse songs, but that new one is just plain awful. As for the prog, I heard a Rush song the other day and actually enjoyed it :messedup:

How are we all today? I got ripped to waking up on the floor at 5 in the morning levels on the march vintage last night :thu:

Some buds of mine invited me round to watch a film. His missus decided she wanted to watch 8 below which turned out to be a disney flick about an antartic research team and their husky dogs that get left behind and the sled driver wants to go back to get them.

when she explained the synopsis to me i was like :facepalm: but it was actually a pretty cool if cheesy film.

the chick in it was hot :thu:

it's reaffirmed my belief that dogs are the muthafucking coolest of all beasts.

and it's pissed me off even more that my recent investigations into how much it would actually cost to visit antartica fall squarely in the "you'll never afford it on a teachers salary" category because the place is stunning.

This past week has been the 1st time I've been glad the riyal is tied to the dollar :embarrassed::embarrassed::embarrassed:

Mo any idea of how long this will keep going for or if it'll turn round any time soon? I'm going to send a chunk (£5k+) home at some point in June and want to get the best rate. Is the euro and £ going to keep shitting the bed or are any of these measures the EU is taking going to slow things down?

Fucking warm today. 45+ degree :s

I'm debating whether to finish reading my book or burning off cd's of the wall and takk and going down to the cinema and getting ripped on the grape juice listening to them in surround sound :grin::embarrassed:
