Hope those of you in this Heat are staying safe and Hydrated...

I've been outside. Feels great. The warmth compensates for the strange hollow feeling. Could it be that you have a mechanic problem and not a dry heat problem. :cop:
bro you have never experienced extended dry heat....you know in the winter time when it's freezing and blowing snow and you are outside and you think "man it will feel great back in the dry warm house" now in the summer here it's the same except you think "man it will feel great to go home, take a shower and relax in the 87 degree warmth"...

If you took two people and dropped one off in the middle of an Illinois corn field and another in the Tucson desert the guy in the corn field will survive as he has shade and moisture( which he can collect from the corn stalks in the post rain) the guy in the desert will turn beet red and die of thirst and sun exposure and fall face first into a cholla cactus :cop:

We are having a very cool spell. Yesterday I think the high was about 72, and just the upper 70s' today. it's a nice break, but we REALLY need some rain. It's pretty dang dry around here.

Those are a lot of erroneous fantasy scenarios, DdBob. Reminds me of a certain public figure who goes on weird/wrong rants about light bulbs, toilets, etc.

I’m just saying …..you all like to factor in humidity so I’m factoring in sun exposure cuz it’s a real thing…..An index of 12 is much ore intense than 4

Deebo, Deebo, Deebo, ...you don't even... you're glib. You don't even know what wet heat is.

Yes I do. and it is more annoying overall but annoying does not eqaute to hot otherwise I would be hot *spits* but seriously yeah doors stick, you are sweaty all day, etc but have you ever got into a car that was parked in 110 all day ? It's freekin' HOT.
My whole point is that hot is hot and it's just dick measuring saying this is hotter than that once you are talking anything over about 98 be it an actual ambient 98 or a "heat index" 98. But then 110 (again ambient or heat index) is whole nother level and anything beyond that doesn't really make much difference.
it's like 40 degrees with a wind is colder than 32 and calm or 30 degrees in the sun is different than 48 in the dark but once you get in say the low 20's does it really matter? yer gonna be wearing a jacket and bundled up and then some guy in Chicago goes "well it's 15 below with a windchill of -35 and then some Canadian goes "oh yeah , eh well I'll have you know it's -65 AMBIENT, eh" cold is cold and hot is hot....

Actually they would both die because the guy in the corn field would likely be bitten by a rattle snake. Corn fields are dangerous man!

corn fields just have friendly deer. look how cute this little fella is.....I mean if you were lost in the cornfield not only would you have shade and water and food but you'd ahve a little furry pal to hang out with" whereas desert you'd be crawling on your knees and hands, tongue hanging out cursing at the sun and your only friend would be a scorpian actively trying to kill you or perhaps a buzzard flying above waiting for your imminent death

DdBob, you should thank me for even acting like this is a matter of debate. I could do a "which is worse: wet heat or dry heat" and you'd lose by 98% because everybody knows that wet heat is worse except for you (and your Dd flunky Denverdave :cop:).

Ok. I dare you to go wander a corn field for 15 minutes. Just 15. Don't worry, they'll find you and they won't be cute deer. Bring your tallest boots.
