Usually it takes a few hours of reading posts do get irritated with the lecherous fucktards over there.... but every time I go to read some threads there, that window gets shorter and shorter.

It's to the point now where I can barely stand to read the thread titles..... it's supposed to be a hangout where MUSICIANS can talk about whatever is going on in their lives, whether it's music related or not...

... but it's more like hanging out with the smelly losers in the video game isle of a Walmart. :facepalm:

I've been hanging out more here and less there. It's not that I require discussion about guitars and music, but the current posting trends there are pretty stupid right now.

I guess I'm just getting old. Maybe that shit is funny to someone in their 20s.

Me too. Haven't even bothered going over there since they tried to make 2.0 go live. What's the point, really? All the folks I care to hear from are here anyway. . .
 
I think the fact that current threads are "not part of the permanent record" has given HC more of a Wild West feel; sort of "anything goes."

I wish that were true. I think it has more to do with the most active posters, which means that the trend will probably continue after the upgrade.

I doubt I'll stop posting there any time soon, but yeah, I'm starting to feel old over there, as well.

I started posting there when I was 13, or 14... now, at 24, I'm starting to have thoughts like "I was never quite that stupid as a teenager". And given that there are still posts from my teenage years in record, I can actually prove it. Which isn't to say that I was never an idiot. But it really is a question of degree.
