Came across these mini amps by accident. Makes me want to do the dual amp setup again but with these minis.

Dang it....I may need to sell even more stuff on Reverb.

Other thing is the price is right!!!!

It is, isn't it?!?!

What would be cool is running two of them (different makes) into one cabinet and use an amp switcher that has a load as to not blow the amps. Good for your back and possible nice sound alternatives.

At the end of the day… they’re solid state. They’re not that different than taking an amp-in-a-box pedal and putting it in a tolex box.

They’re cheap solid state amps. Put them in a combo and they’d just be 1990s practice amps. You’ll get much more out of a Positive Grid Spark assuming that you don’t mind an amp that requires an app.

I partly agree with you.

It is the voicing that is different IMO. Besides, I have only seen a Soldano in a pedal (Wampler Slostortion), have not seen a Bogner. At least the Soldano mini has Mike's approval, not Brian. One last thing is the need for a Power Amp which will bring a different voice as well.

Yes on the cheap hence my mini GASSS....

Hard to call 30 Watts practice amps when I am gigging with 15-20 Watt amps now. FWIW, I would need try one in person unless I do the buy, test, return if I don't like it or keep if I do.

As for Positive Grid, I own a Spark Mini. I love it for recording, jamming on line and testing my gear for operation. Not practical for "Me" on gigs and yeah, not a fan of the app as it takes time to make the choices that I need for that certain sound I want. But if I am doing a recording, I will take the time to find the right setting.

It's a good system for a small jam or quick setup.

These mini amps are all designed made by Boutique Amp Distribution (BAD). BAD own Soldano, Tone King, and Egnator, plus have manufacturing and distribution deals with Friedman amps/pedals, Morgan amps/pedals, Wampler pedals, and Bogner pedals.

Since BAD already designed and manufacture the Friedman BE and Dirty Shirley pedals, Bogner Ecstasy (Red or Blue) and Uberschall pedals, Diezel pedals, and Soldano SLO pedals, it was easy enough for them to take those same pedal circuits and pair them with a class-d power amp to make these “student” mini amps.

You really could buy the BE pedal, Ecstasy pedal, VH4 pedal, SLO pedal and pair them with something like a EHX 44 Magnum pedal amp and get the same versatility.

True!!!

But visually on a gig, the mini amps look more impressive. However FWIW, it was an idea that passed in the wind.

I can see where you're coming from. I have one of those mini Vox "Nu-tube" amps (MV50-AC) that I've kept for years just because I like the way it sounds. Why not? It's not like those take up that much space!

Spark 2 (50W) with the Control X footswitch?

No. Just a Spark Mini and no footswitch. I thought about getting one but I said to myself why? I just use it for practice and recording.

Oh, I know. I have the Go and love it. I was just thinking the Spark 2 is 50W, so it can hang with a drummer, and would be a good backup in case your main amp shits itself. And it costs as much as the mini heads.

LOL - I have too many amps already. Those Mini heads was just a phase of, oh freakin' cool.

Then the questions begin: Do I want it - Yes; Do I need it - no; If I get one, do I have to get rid of one - Yes; Do I want to get rid of one - Yes, but not to be replaced, just need to reduce the horde.
