Hey all! I'm in the home stretch of my PhD work and I've got one final music perception study I'm running. I'm on a really short time table so I only have until end of the day Monday to collect data and still have enough time to analyze it and include it in my dissertation. This is part of my dissertation work at Kent State University and I'm conducting a study on how people perceive chords as listeners. This is an online study you can participate in through your web browser (only Chrome works correctly with the audio). You'll hear a recording of a chord played on a piano, have the option to hear each of the four notes played separately, then choose which one sounds to you as the most important note in the chord. The study is completely anonymous and should take about 30 minutes to finish 100 examples. The only benefit to taking the survey is the self-satisfaction for helping to further scientific understanding! There are no risks beyond normal, everyday activity. The study is only available to adults 18 years or old and currently residing within the United States. You can find the study at the link below:
