Just puked in the driveway in front of my family. It's been a food poisonerific afternoon. Imma take a little nap before I drive to my gig.

Weird, the first thing I did this morning was puke and I have no idea why, I can't remember the last time I threw up.

I've got a gig tonight and it's currently 15 degrees out which means people will either have cabin fever and want to get out of the house or say "fuck it, it's too cold" and stay in.

I survived last night (barely) but I've got a gig tonight where Im the only vocalist (how does this happen with "pro" musicians anymore?) and then tomorrow on a boat on Long Beach harbor. This is going to be the longest weekend of my life.

I've got a short rehearsal at one to work up a Christmas song, gig at nine and then I have to get up at 7am tomorrow and help my friend do a Christmas decoration install at some fancy mansion so I hear you. These people are paying $1,800 to have a couple of guys come out and decorate their house.

I love/hate rich people.

i'm always trying to convince my students to sing. especially the ones who show any proficiency. this trend of "i don't want to sing" has to stop.

srsly. I mean, if someone is just playing for fun they can do whatever they want but you become so much more useful in a band situation if you can at least sing backing vocals. And if you are a working musician playing gigs like this I know I wouldn't hire you if you didn't have at least a few songs..especially for times like this. Last night the other guys covered the whole night and I only had to sing one tune and a few backgrounds hat were crucial and the other guys knew many of my songs, too.....just like I know a handful of their "important" ones.
