If you have an ohm meter, I'd just start seeing that everything has continuity.

I've got one of those multimeter things that I think does register ohms so I'll try that as well. Thanks!

The multimeter will have a setting that just tells you if there's a circuit.

Well, Les Paul's suck. Just have him sell it and get an Agile instead.

(couldn't help it in light of a recent thread). Really though, looks like a nice guitar. I wish I had some info to offer you.

Well, it's a good start. I'm inclined to think that if it helped that much, the switch is probably your problem. Maybe a couple more treatments with contact cleaner, and if that fails, get a new switch for it.
