Lunch (& Dinner) thread

i have been on Atkins since January and i lost 22 pounds. I am eating some carbs these days, but i am closely monitoring my weight as i don't want to get back to the weight i was. I don't eat bread or potatoes at all, and don't eat anything with sugar. I do eat some fruit which has natural sugars though

Cool, yeah, i know it works. I have found that after you are on it for awhile and have stabalized, you can reward yourself with one "bad" meal a week, and it doesnt make a difference.

I had the same thing for lunch I always have and I'm not sure what I'm having for dinner.

I'm the opposite of you guys, I can eat whatever the hell I want and never gain weight.

Wait, that means nothing to drink but water, right? No no no no no no I couldnt live without my soda. Forget atkins.

I used to be that way, then I matured and my metabolism apparently hit the brakes. I still dont have to be as careful as most people but I also walk a ton every day and generally have been trying to do some other exercises. I used to be able to eat literally 6000-7000 calories a day and not gain any weight, it was sick. I TRIED to put weight on and couldn't.

...but it has all them nasty artificial sweeteners that are just as bad a sugar...

That is probably true, but for the sake of this at least its carbless. Atkins actually recommended minimizing artificial sweetners in his book.

I've been working out pretty hard for the past six months so I sort of expected to put on some weight (muscle mass) but I can't even seem to pull that off.

I had a salmon cup and mandarine oranges.

I'm trying to talk my mom into meeting me at school and going to Red Lobster. Before any of the food snobs get off on a tangent, I just want a live lobster and I'm too chicken to cook one myself. :embarrassed:

...I'd rather have real sugar than artificial sweeteners...at least its more organic...organic in the sense that there is less manipulation involved...I subscribe to the theory that its not what you are eating, but how much you are eating...if sugar is that much of a problem, eat less...

It's tough to find good seafood this far inland. I wont knock you for going to red lobster. I'm kinda jealous, actually. I have been craving seafood for a week or 2 now. I wanna go to the Hokkaido buffet and stuff myself silly on crab and sushi.

Of course Pragestock is going to put a huge damper on your carbless diet.

Went to Dewey's Pizza with my mum and sister. Had a side salad and we all split a pizza... olive oil sauce with goat cheese and with mushrooms!

I'm hoping i can go. We are moving buildings for our company right about that time, and its going to be a huge production. As it gets closer i'll know for sure.
