“Here is a real beauty ! This is a Brian Monty built Gibson '58 Flying V . Let's start with the back story . This guitar was built for Steve Segal ( not the actor ) the guitar player for April Wine , Steve owned an original 1958 Gibson Flying V and had Brian Monty recreate this iconic guitar as a 'road replacement ' for his original . Other than a 6 ply pickguard ? this Monty built V is as close as you might get to the real thing . With old growth Korina and a beautiful Brazilian rosewood board this guitar weighs in at 6 lbs 1 oz , the neck has a great feel ,the profile is based on the original 1958 owned by Steve , all body specs were based on the original '58 Flying V . The pots on the guitar all date to 1959 with an original 1960 ABR bridge and headstock logo . The pickups are made by Wizz , a small builder in Southern Europe , they are probably the best PAF style pickups i have heard with all the dynamic range you would expect from a vintage PAF .The bridge position has been moved back 1 mm from its original position at some point , you have to really look to see it . A beautifully built replica of one of the most rare production guitars ever built . W/Orig style Coffin case”

Pricey, but it’s Canadian bucks.

That high E string is way off. At least it looks that way

And after looking at the website you can see those are two different guitars and maybe mahogany on the repro
