NAD - the mighty Peavey Classic 30 has returned to me

No matter what else I do or try, I always end up back at the Peavey Classic series. I just freaking love these amps. I've had the Classic 50 in both 212 and 410, had the Delta Blues 210, and the Classic 30. I do believe, at the end of it all, that the 30 is my favorite. For one thing, it's the absolute perfect grab and go amp. Reasonable weight, sound so good, and is more than loud enough for any drummer with whom I've ever played.

It got me thinking about how much I love Peavey Classics. So I started looking at used ones. This one showed up at GC for $350, and I jumped - the prices on these have definitely increased since my last one, but it has been like 7 years, so getting one for $175 seems unlikely from my research. It arrived today, and sounds every bit as glorious and loud as I remember, and I will love it. The only issue is that the reverb isn't working, so I have emailed GC to look into a discount - which is fine with me since I never use reverb.

Congrats on the Classic 30. HNAD!

I love Peavey amps. Bang for the buck, they’re hard to beat. I have a 100 watt Peavey Windsor that I’ve had a lot of fun with over the years. Recently, I have not played it much, so I may sell it.
 
HNAD. I almost bought one of those used at the local Guitar Center about two weeks ago. I went home to get some stuff to trade and two days later it was gone. :cry:
 
Congrats! I've never played one, but conversely I've never heard a bad word about the Peavey Classic series. A buddy of mine had one back in the nineties, the 2x12 I think, and it sounded great.
