I've been unwinding late at night playing The Division 2, which is oddly soothing after a stupid long day of video conference meetings. My old computer is an old PC that can barely handle the game on low settings at 1080p. Switzerland ended the lockdown on Monday, but there are still significant rules about leaving the house for non-essential activities, and I am to work from home until at least June 8, and probably July 8, so I have a lot of time in self isolation to blow. The economy is open, so I ordered a better computer to pass the time.
The machine is made by a local Swiss company called Joule. They focus on the super high end space, like $10K machines, but they have an entry level line up for the more realistic user. This is from their entry level machine line up. The specs are pretty average gaming PC, but it should do a lot better than what I have now.
Intel i7 9700 with liquid cooling
ASUS MOB-TUF gaming
16 GB RAM DDR4, with heat sink cooling
1 TB SSD X 2, Samsung EVO
NVIDIA RTX2070 Super video card, ASUS ROG tuned
ASUS Strix Keyboard and mouse
Should be a lot better than the current system. It has cool RGB lights so I can game like my kids.
