New gaming machine inbound.

If you ever end up trying Destiny 2 (New Light is free-to-play) be sure to HMU and I can help you get started. I know several Destiny streamers are big Division 2 fans.

If I give it a try, I’ll let you know. :)

So have your kids played on it yet? They might brag to their online buddies tho. What do you usually play for games?

Nah, they have 't tested it yet. Lately I have been playing Division 2. Before that. it was Witcher 3 replay, Skyrim replay, and Fallout 4 replay. I used to play a lot of battlefield, but I stopped at BF1.

I've been playing F04 almost exclusively for a couple years. I run the game typically with over 300 mods, and manage to get over 50FPS at 1080p and ultra sliders over 95% of the map. I still run Win7, and it'll only use 16Gb of system Ram. (I have 32). Other games like Tomb Raider 2013 run much faster.

Noice.

My rig:

Finished my son's build. He went with a Ryzen 7 2700x, MSI 2080 Super, 16GB RAM and a terabyte NVME SSD. He has another M2 slot so he said he'll add another SSD at 2 TB when he needs it.
He has some super high flow case that's all RGB and his ram and CPU fan is programmable RGB. We haven't put it to the test yet. We installed Windows but he's waiting on his ridiculous monitor to come in before loading any games or anything on it. He wants the "true experience" the first time he boots up CS:GO. He won't do it on a TV. It has to be the 4k G Sync 144hz monitor. Freaking $500 monitor! It's only 24 inches!

So I've built a new gaming rig myself. Ryzen 3700x on an ASUS TUF gaming x570 Mobo. 32 GB of Corsair LPX2 DDR4 3600. The case is a Lian Li Lancool 2. The motherboard has 2 M2 slots, and I've installed a 1 TB stick of Crucial NVME in to it. My initial idea was to use the GTX 1070FE vid card hat is in this machine. But an imminent move has put the project on hold for the time being. I'm thinking of upgrading to a 2k monitor if not 4K. With that in mind, I'm also thinking of buying a 3070 when i comes out.

Yeah, I'll be getting a 3070/3080 when they're back in stock to replace my GTX 1660 super.

My son is pissed. He bought the 2080 super for his build, we built it, and then the 3080 came out at the same price and it's 2.5x better. LMAO.

ALL the RTX 20XX people are pissed. I'm glad I didn't stretch my budget for a more expensive card when I built my PC earlier this year, because I really considered a 2070 Super, but most of my games didn't (and don't need it.) Cyberpunk 2077 has me jonesing for 4k though.

He definitely has all he'll need for quite a while. He mostly plays Rainbow Six: Seige and CS:GO and Minecraft.
They look glorious, no doubt, but he doesn't even need what he has for what he plays right now.
