NGD - somewhat irritated content...

A little ding on the back or the output jack.... no biggie.

When there is an undisclosed ding in the NECK that I feel every time I play the guitar, that is a deal breaker.

The good news is I can't really feel it, have to go out of my way to hit it. Still haven't contacted him yet, probably tomorrow, letting myself digest the situation...

OK, the seller is actually getting good feedback from me - I asked for a $75 refund and he sent $100. Said he'd still been playing the guitar in church and he thinks the ding on the neck happened after the pics, and he didn't notice the headstock pic cropped out. I'm impressed.

There is a super easy fix for the neck if you want to do a satin finish anyways (which I do to all of my necks).

Fill it slightly with some fingernail polish, then use some 440 grit to level the filled bump using a sanding block. If you don't use a block it will just round off the bump and lower the paint around it. If you use a block it will level it with the neck. Then lightly do the 440... then lightly do 600... up to the nut and down to the heel. Instant satin all the way down and no more divot.

The headstock ding scares me. Was it dropped and there is a crack somewhere you now can't see that may reveal itself in the future when it's too late?
Not to bring paranoia to the party but that one is especially bad AND he hid it intentionally.

I don't think I've ever owned a PRS that wasn't missing the finish at the tip on the headstock. It's such a small, sharp point, it seems a easy target.

It's very hard when an online vendor makes an attempt to make things right, but ... things aren't really right. I had an airbnb at a pricey place in Hawaii absolutely ruined by trashy neighbors, and it wasn't the fault of the owner. I left five stars, but also a description.

Can you do the same?

And am I the only one weirded out by the discoloration around the switch?

In my feedback I left five stars, but also said there was an issue and he addressed it well.

The switch discoloration is a touch odd, but the switch is clean and works perfectly. Going to try and clean it up when I feel like it.

Looks like your PRS had a 2-pack habit, but has since cleaned up its act.

Congrats on the refund. Good to hear the seller made things right. :thu:

It looks like rust. I'd pop the pickguard off and have a look at what's going on under there.

There's no sign of rust on the switch, but I will be taking a look since I was thinking rust as well.

Played her at band practice tonight and she is DEFINITELY a keeper!!

Awesome looking axe dig the color looks like you'll have a real clean PRS once you give it some love!
